AMD
AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) is the second largest supplier of microprocessors.
Its processor market share is about 12 percent. ATI Technologies is a subsidiary of AMD.
Clock rate
Clock rate is the frequency of the clock in a central processing unit (CPU). CPU manufacturers
often charge higher prices for CPUs taht operate at higher clock rates because the higher the
clock rate the higher the processing power.
CPU
Central Processing Unit or the processor is part of the computer that runs a computer program.
It is one of the most important elements of computer. If all the parts of the processor are
packaged in a single computer chip it is called the microprocessor. All current processors are
microprocessors. Multi-core processor (dual-core, quad-core etc.) is a processor that is
composed of two or more independent cores.
GHz
Gigahertz is a unit of frequency. CPUs are labeled in terms of clock rate expressed in gigahertz.
Intel
Intel (Integrated Electronics Corporation) is the world's largest supplier of microprocessors. It
is based in California USA. Intel was founded in 1968 by Gordon E. Moore and Robert Noyce.
Overclocking
Overclocking is the process of running a central processing unit (CPU) at a higher clock rate
than it was designed for. It is practiced by enthusiasts seeking an increase in the performance of
their computers.

| Positive: | Power efficient and cheap |
| Negative: | Not so powerfull with default settings |
| Review: | A very popular processor and I can see why. You can have enough power for the most computers at cheap price. Low power and quiet with default settings. However you must change the cooler to have it to be almost silent. |
